Description
The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center located in Dublin, GA is currently recruiting for a BE/BC Geriatrician or a BE/BC Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician with Geriatrics experience.

The physician position includes a requirement of specialized training in the provision of comprehensive and continuing health and medical care services, e.g. diagnosis, prevention, therapy, maintenance, prescription of medication and rehabilitation, to patient assigned to the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) Program, or Community Living Centers (CLC).

The physician attends team meetings and makes home visits)government vehicle with GPS and gas card will be provided).

The HBPC Physician is responsible for the overall medical delivered to home bound patients in the Dublin service area(50 miles radius) and will be asked to cover at Milledgeville CBOC.The physician may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: Up to $215,000 per year

Recruitment Incentive May Be Authorized

EDRP: The applicant selected for this position MAY BE eligible to apply for an education loan reimbursement award up to the maximum limitation under the provisions of the Education Debt Reduction Program. Eligibility to apply does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Approval for EDRP awards are subject to the availability of funding.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

1. U.S. Citizen
2. Degree of doctor of medicine.
3. Licensure and Registration- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
4. Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
5. Must be board certified or Board eligible.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed
