Salary - dependent on experience
We are looking for an inpatient/outpatient clinical Advanced Practitioner to join our General Surgery team. Our General Surgery practice is hospital owned and run.This is a fulltime position. Under the direction of the General Surgery Medical Director and physicians, the AP will provide healthcare services to surgical patients, following established standards.
Patient encounters will included histories and physicals, order x-rays, EKGs, Labs, and other diagnostic testing. Ability to follow-up with patients when test results are finalized.
Administer injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care. Surgical assisting or assisting during medical procedures.
Educate patients on prescribed therapeutic regimens post-surgery and during follow-up care.
Evaluates outcomes of direct patient care and consults with other specialists.
Involves first call and first assist.
Cerner EMR.
Surgical experience preferred. ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, CPI.
The hospital is licensed for 188 beds. Service area 85,000.
CME allotment and 5 days paid to attend.
Combined time off – 32 days.
