Description
The position floats to all Central, IL locations and the “home base” can be any of the health centers (Blooming, Champaign, Decatur, Effingham, Pekin, Peoria, or Springfield). We have a policy for reimbursing time/mileage
The Float (Women's Health) Clinician is part of the staff team that provides reproductive health care services at
the health center of assignment in accordance with policies, protocols, and
procedures in the Manual of Standards and Guidelines. Frequent travel is required between health centers, ? The position floats to all Central, IL locations and the “home base” can be any of the health centers (Blooming, Champaign, Decatur, Effingham, Pekin, Peoria, or Springfield). We have a policy for reimbursing time/mileage
mileage and travel time will be reimbursed per the Travel Policy.
Essential Functions:
1. Understand, commit to, and practice a market and customer oriented approach to health care delivery.
2. Provide well-person care to patients who present themselves with contraceptive needs, and assess physical
and psychosocial status of the client.
3. If privileged to do so under the direction of the Medical Director, provide colposcopy/LEEP/med
AB/expanded gynecological services; furthermore, take responsibility for the follow-up of any medical problems,
abnormal lab tests, etc. consistent with protocol.
4. Conduct contraceptive education and medical interviews, such as medical history, and respond to client's
queries for information of a medical nature, either in person or by telephone.
Qualifications:
Education:
A registered nurse holding current license in the State of Illinois, who has
successfully completed additional didactic training in order to qualify as a nurse
practitioner and holds current license in the State of Illinois as an advanced practice nurse.
Experience:
Previous work experience in a family clinical setting preferred.
$7,500 bonus with a two year commitment (option to opt out of bonus)
Loan forgiveness
Salary $40 - $45 an hour
