Physician: The ideal applicant will provide exemplary healthcare and service to clients and employers The available position offers a great deal of opportunity to the dedicated candidate to develop an occupational medicine clinic and take an active role in growing the business.

Medical Evaluation of Injured Workers:
•  Provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and injuries, manage associated risk factors, and integrate treatment plans across a broad range of workplace environments.
•  Administer / order immunizations, therapeutic injections, suturing, wound care, splinting and immobilizing as deemed appropriate.
•  Order / perform / interpret laboratory tests, radiologic studies, electrocardiograms, pulmonary testing as needed to manage patient welfare.
•  Manage consultation and referral to specialists as necessitated by patient conditions.
•  Cooperate with consultants, allied health professionals and employers to optimize recovery and ensure a timely return to work.

Workplace / Employee Screening:
•  Commercial driver and pre-employment exams, FAA flight physicals, administration of drug testing, evaluations for work with hazardous chemicals and respirator use, and prevention and management of biohazard exposure.
•  Work with employers to identify workplace risk factors, and develop plans to prevent injury and disease for individual employees and workforce populations. Provide ongoing surveillance to measure the compliance with and success of those plans.

Communicate Effectively:
•  Maintain timely and comprehensive electronic medical records, and share appropriately as necessitated by clinical circumstance with consulting providers, employers and other entities while following safeguards required by HIPPA.
•  Educate patients with regard to their condition, options for evaluation and treatment. Provide clear instructions on home care, rehabilitation and injury prevention.
•  Actively manage return to work planning with employers, and coordinate with outside providers. Assist business clients in developing systems to measure, monitor and prevent employee injuries. Engage area businesses in dialogue about OHP and initiatives to improve employee health and productivity.  

Clinic Development:
•  Assist in the management of clinic staff to optimize performance and efficiency. Orient new employees to their duties and educate staff about best practices in occupational medicine. Foster a workplace environment that encourages ownership of responsibility and collaboration to achieve excellence in care and service.
•  Participate in the efforts to improve clinic operations and expand the practice to offer a full complement of occupational and employee health services. Actively participate in measuring and improving client satisfaction, and exploit opportunities for business growth.
