Position Summary: Will take H1B

The Pediatric Physician is a member of the interdisciplinary health care team which functions to meet the objectives of the programs in the Clinic. The Pediatric Physician will be responsible for providing complete clinical care for all patients under the direction of the Medical Director and by written protocols. The Pediatric Physician works in conjunction with the Medical Director in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.
Schedule:
• Flexible, may require some evening and weekends
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the medical care of children from birth through adolescence
• Examines, diagnoses, and treats diseases and injuries of infants and children
• Obtain medical, social, and developmental histories of infants and children extending into young adulthood
• Perform physical exams and immunizations on all infant and children patients
• Prescribes pediatric treatment
• Initiate laboratory exams and studies as necessary
• Provide health education and counseling on pediatric services
• Management of all acute and chronic illnesses to and above community standards at all times
• Consult with and refer to appropriate specialist any high risk or complex patients
• Management of pediatric services in accordance with established Northeast Community Clinic’s policies/procedures and contracted services under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelines
• Exercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situations

• Provide consultations with other Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Medical Assistants on procedures for diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of infants and children
• Maintain a positive working relationship with staff
• Other duties as designated by the Medical Director or Executive Director
Minimum Requirements
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Excellent Customer Service (Bedside Manners)
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work as a team player and work independently
Required Education/Experience and/or Licensure/Certifications
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited university (if foreign medical graduate, must pass all required USMLE exams and/or completed an accredited residency program in the US)
• Must have a Nat’l Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date.
• Active California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Active DEA License
• Current PALS Certification
