Classification General Statement:
The Physician provides professional, comprehensive primary medical care and treatment services to a diverse population of patients in a community-based behavioral healthcare clinic setting. The Physician diagnoses and treats a wide variety of health problems, and provides consultation on medical issues which may impact mental health, substance abuse disorder, and intellectual/developmental disabilities of patients. This position is assigned principal responsibility for primary care of patients; it works independently and in collaboration with others to provide patient care.

Job Specifications Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential responsibilities of the position is qualifying. This might typically include:
•  Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with completion of a one-year internship and/or completion of residency program in a primary care setting.
•  Possession of a valid State of Oregon license as a Medical Doctor (M.D.)
•  Current certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support.
•  Current suboxone waiver and DEA certification is preferred.
•  Experience in a psychiatric or community behavioral health setting is desired.
•  Possession of a National Provider Identifier (NPI) at time of appointment.
•  Bilingual fluency (Spanish/English) is desired.
•  Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR xxxxxxxxxxx* to xxxxxxxxxxx*.
•  Must possess a valid Oregon or Washington Driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record, and be insurable for Agency travel between clinic/treatment locations, meetings and/or trainings. A proven, reliable alternate mode of transportation may be acceptable.
