Description
CompHealth is currently assisting an Iowa group with their search for an OB/GYN. Your schedule will be a 4-day workweek with a 1:2 call that is mostly for C-sections. Physicians take call for their own patients unless they are away. The average weekly patient census is 50 to 60, and the group handles 200 births per year. The office is conveniently located on the hospital campus. Come join another OB/GYN, and an FP who does a some OB, but no C-sections. They welcome candidates that are board certified and board eligible. The ideal candidate will have a good patient rapport, be a good communicator, and be compassionate. This partnership-track opportunity has a compensation that will depend on experience. There is a $100K sign-on bonus that can be used for anything. You will also be offered medical and dental benefits, life insurance/disability, 4 weeks of vacation, relocation assistance, 1 week of CME time, a retirement plan that the physician can contribute $55K per year, and malpractice insurance. Newton is the county seat of, and most populous city in, Jasper County. Located 30 miles east of Des Moines, Newton is in central Iowa on the Historic U.S. Route 6 and just off Interstate 80.
