Description
A critical access hospital near the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is looking for a hospitalist to cover 10 shifts per month. This community is one hour from Bangor which offers daily direct flights to Philadelphia, Charlotte, Washington, DC, and New York City. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with procedures, coverage of the 3-bed ICU, and managing a patient census averaging 9 to 10 per shift. Hospitalist respond to codes. You are supported by PAs, ICU nurses, and CRNAs. Telemedicine services include trauma, pediatrics, and psychiatry. - Work from 8 am to 6 pm, 10 shifts per month
- Night call during your on block
- Patient census is 9 to 10
- 25-bed critical access hospital with a 3-bed ICU
- Procedures are helpful, but you are supported by CRNAs and ICU nurses
