Description
A faith-based health system that is focused on helping the people of Bakersfield is looking for a medical/hematologist-oncologist to join their collegial group. This new cancer center is one of the most prominent cancer centers in the area. The clinic has 19 infusion bays, an infusion center, 2 true beam accelerators, CT scanner, and 9 exam rooms. Additional support services for patients include genetic testing, clinical research, social services, registered dietician, rehab/lymphedema, library, financial assistance. They are partners with oncology experts at UC Davis and UCLA for added expertise and access to clinical trials. They are affiliated with NRG (National Resources Group) and has over 50 clinical trials currently. The hospital just added 6 new rooms for hematology-oncology. Bakersfield is a large city in the central valley and has one of the lowest cost of living in California, and is just two hours from the beach, mountains, and Los Angeles.
