• Providers see approximately 35,000 outpatients per year for a wide variety of GI and liver related problems including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, biliary tract disorders and diseases of the pancreas, colon cancer, and disorders of the esophagus.
• Physicians also perform approximately 25,000 procedures annually, including over 2,000 advanced procedures performed with anesthesia in a state of the art endoscopy unit.
• Many of the Department’s physicians are frequently recognized in local and national publications as among the best in their field.

• The GI Division also has an ACGME accredited GI Fellowship Program and an advanced endoscopy fellowship program, with staff physicians holding academic appointments at UMass Chan Medical School.
