Description

We are seeking an IM Residency Program Director with strong clinical and leadership skills to join our NEW Residency program in northeast Missouri.

In HRHS sponsored GME programs, the residency program director is responsible for program administration and operations, and for residents’ recruitment and selection; education in the context of patient care; supervision; assessment, promotion and disciplinary actions; scholarly activity; and for the establishment of an effective learning climate at all teaching sites. Specific responsibilities may be delegated by the program director but he/she is accountable to the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), the designated institutional official (DIO), and to the ACGME Residency Review Committee (RRC) for the timely and accurate completion of all tasks.

Specifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Licensure, Certification, Registration):

  • Internal Medicine specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience.
  • Current certification in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
  • Current medical licensure and appropriate medical staff appointment.
  • Continue ongoing clinical activity.
