In this role, you will be responsible for providing medical care, evaluate outcomes, consult with specialists PRN and adjust treatments as indicated to ensure optimum care. This is an ambulatory setting but you will see a far wider variety of cases than you might see in a clinical setting. The patients, some of whom haven't ever had medical care, are more appreciative than your average patient and are usually far more compliant in following medical advice. We offer a safe, friendly environment where you can focus on practicing medicine. The field of correctional medicine is growing and we'd love you to be a part of it. Master’s degree and valid license to practice medicine in the state of Texas. One year clinical experience required; correctional setting preferred. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
